What to watch in Britannia's Q2 FY27 results
- Sales growth. Consolidated sales rose 9.5% from a year earlier to ₹4,964 crore in Q1 and standalone sales 10.0%. The chief executive said Britannia exited the quarter with mid-teens revenue growth, led by e-commerce and general trade.
- Costs. The chief executive said the West Asia conflict sharply raised fuel and shipping costs during the quarter. The company says strategic buying covers kept its input costs below market prices.
- Margins. Operating profit rose 12.7% from a year earlier to ₹761 crore, 15.3% of sales, against 17.0% for the whole of FY26. The company raised advertising, influencer and promotion spending in the quarter.
- International. Net profit attributable to shareholders rose 13.6% to ₹591 crore. The international business recovered from the March quarter as supply-chain constraints began to ease late in Q1.
