What to watch in Bharti Airtel's Q2 FY27 results
- Mobile ARPU. India mobile revenue rose 9.2% from a year earlier in Q1 as average revenue per user rose to ₹264 a month from ₹250. Airtel added a record 1.0 million postpaid customers, taking the base to 30.0 million, and smartphone data customers reached 80% of its mobile customers.
- Homes and business. Homes revenue rose 33.2% from a year earlier, with 473,000 customers added to reach 14.7 million. Airtel Business revenue grew 12.0%, which the company credits to order-book execution and its digital services.
- Africa. Consolidated revenue rose 18.4% from a year earlier to ₹58,539 crore, helped by 21.1% constant-currency growth in Africa. During Q1 Airtel raised its stake in Airtel Africa to over 79% through a share swap, which raises its share of Africa's profit.
- Debt and capex. Net debt was 1.17 times annualised EBITDA at the end of June, down from 1.70 a year earlier. Capital expenditure was ₹13,386 crore in Q1, of which ₹9,698 crore was in India.
