Free mutual fund portfolio analysis
Link your mutual funds once, with your consent. Genvest checks every fund against its category, shows where several funds do the same job and lists the ones in regular plans, so you know what to look at first.
- SEBI Reg. No. INA000018382
- Linked through Account Aggregator or MF Central
- No CAS upload, no passwords
- No commission on any fund

What the analysis checks
Six checks run on every linked portfolio. Each one points to a decision you can make yourself.
Funds that lag their category
Each fund is compared with the average of its category over three years and placed in a band: category leader, in-line, below average or poor.
Several funds doing one job
Three flexi cap or three large cap funds often run similar portfolios. The category breakup counts your funds in each category, so duplicates stand out.
Commission in regular plans
Regular plans pay a distributor commission out of their expense ratio. The fee check lists every fund you hold in a regular plan.
What the commission costs over time →How your money is spread
The category breakup shows how the portfolio splits across large cap, mid cap, debt and other categories, which is where concentration hides.
Check concentration without the app →Your actual return
XIRR across all your funds, counting each SIP instalment and lump sum on the date it was invested.
How XIRR works →A report on every fund
Open any fund for its performance, holdings, risk analysis and Genvest AI score, so you can see why it was flagged.

Before you switch a fund

Advice without commission
Genvest is a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser (INA000018382). Advisers cannot take commission from fund houses, so the analysis has no reason to favour one fund over another.

Is Genvest's mutual fund portfolio analysis free?
Yes. The portfolio checkup is part of Genvest's free plan: link your funds and see which ones lag their category and what your portfolio has returned. Paid plans add a personalised investment plan and rebalancing guidance.
How does Genvest get my mutual fund data?
With your consent, through the Account Aggregator framework or MF Central. Genvest fetches your folios across fund houses, so there is no statement to upload and no password to share.
Is it safe to link my mutual funds?
Account Aggregator is an RBI-regulated consent framework. Each consent states what data is shared, for what purpose and for how long, and you can revoke it. It shares data only; it gives no access to move money.
How does the analysis decide a fund is underperforming?
It compares each fund's return with the average of its category over three years and places the fund in a band: category leader, in-line, below average or poor. A fund can lag for a while for reasons that do not call for selling it, so treat the band as a prompt to look closer.
Does Genvest check overlap between my funds?
It checks overlap by category: if you hold three flexi cap funds or three large cap funds, the category breakup shows it. It does not compare the individual stocks inside each fund.
Should I switch my regular plans to direct plans?
The direct plan of the same scheme usually costs less because it carries no distributor commission. But a switch is a redemption and a fresh purchase, so capital gains tax and exit load can apply. Check both before you switch.
Does Genvest earn commission on the funds it suggests?
No. Genvest is a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser (INA000018382) and takes no commission from fund houses. It earns from the subscription fees of its paid plans.
