Revenue from operations rose 62.9% from a year earlier and 20.3% from the June quarter to ₹1,464 crore. Ather sold 93,211 scooters, 42% more than a year earlier and 12% more than in June, and revenue per vehicle rose to ₹1,33,507 from ₹1,20,183. Non-vehicle revenue (the AtherStack Pro software pack, Ather Grid charging, accessories, spares and service) rose to 15% of revenue from 12%.
Consolidated net profit was ₹1.26 crore, against losses of ₹51 crore in the June quarter and ₹154 crore a year earlier. The company's EBITDA of ₹74 crore, a 4.9% margin, counts ₹62.7 crore of other income, and the margin is measured on total income. By our calculation from the filing, EBITDA without other income was about ₹11 crore, or 0.8% of revenue from operations, against about −₹33 crore in June; without other income the quarter would have shown a pre-tax loss of about ₹61 crore.
Adjusted gross margin rose 160 bps from a year earlier to 24%, although aluminium, copper, lithium and crude-linked plastics stayed expensive; the company credits pricing and product mix. Costs grew more slowly than revenue: employee costs rose 6% to ₹121 crore and other expenses fell 8% to ₹172 crore.
Electric two-wheeler registrations in India rose 82% from a year earlier to about 5.98 lakh in the quarter, faster than Ather's own registrations (up 60%), so its share of the market slipped to 15.1% from 17.2%, according to its presentation. Pre-orders more than doubled to 1.80 lakh, and the Hosur plant ran at 98% of capacity at peak production.
The board approved about ₹122 crore to add 75,000 units of annual capacity at Hosur, taking it to 4.95 lakh units by December 2026, and 1.5 lakh units at the new plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, which starts production in phases from December 2026 with 5 lakh units and reaches 6.5 lakh by Q2 FY28. In the quarter Ather also raised ₹1,300 crore through a qualified institutions placement, ₹200 crore through a preferential issue, and ₹250 crore as the 25% upfront payment on ₹1,000 crore of convertible warrants.
