What to watch in Mahindra & Mahindra's Q2 FY27 results
- Automotive. Automotive segment revenue rose 24.4% from a year earlier to ₹31,033 crore in Q1, and electric SUVs made up 12% of M&M's SUV sales, according to its presentation.
- Auto margins. The automotive segment result was ₹2,212 crore, flat on a year earlier, so it fell to 7.1% of segment revenue from 8.9% a year earlier and 9.5% in the March quarter. The presentation cites commodity cost pressure.
- Tractors. Farm equipment revenue rose 19.2% from a year earlier to ₹10,947 crore and its segment result 11.5% to ₹2,028 crore. Tractor volumes were 158,000 and the core tractor margin was 19.2%, according to the presentation.
- Truck and bus sale. On 29 July the board approved selling the truck and bus division to SML Mahindra on a slump-sale basis.
